Anita Jackson dedicated her life and career to making Jefferson County a better place for working, learning, and living. She was a member of numerous educational, religious, and public service organizations throughout the community, and held many board and trustee positions over the years. The recipients of this scholarship should have her same desire and passion for community service.
This scholarship is open to all students who will graduate from a Jefferson County School.
Applicants must include:
Proof of 60 hours of community service. A mixture of types of community service is recommended. School sanctioned service does not apply (i.e. cleaning the stadium after a game)
Proof of GPA - minimum of 2.5 GPA.
A 250-word essay describing why community service is important to you.
Two letters of recommendation – one from a current teacher, one from a community leader.
